All doctors who have graduated from any medical institution abroad are required to give their medical degree equivalence exam organized by Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC) to ascertain the validity and equivalence of their degree. PM&DC has constituted National Examination Board for Medical Graduates with its Head Office at Islamabad with a view to conduct registration examination. All foreign graduates will get registration immediately after passing the examination.

PM&DC Exam assesses your knowledge for questions taken from all basic medical specialities, clinical subjects and most common illnesses in Pakistan. Although they don´t ask questions of specialist concerns, but you must have a knowledge so that you can justify your point while answering any question. The numbers sitting for this exam have increased dramatically in the last ten years. Yet the pass rate is only 5% to 10%. In order to pass you need the right training and plenty of practice in exam questions and techniques.
