Bloomfield Hall School students performance | IMCG Mehfil-e-Milad

Bloomfield Hall School Islamabad students enthral audience
Islamabad, April 25, 2008: It was a perfect spring evening, when the students of Bloomfield Hall School Islamabad, put up an excellent performance on stage, at the Pakistan National Council of Arts auditorium, focussing on the performing arts, says a press release issued here Thursday.

The show started with 3-4 year olds, dressed in ethnic regional clothes, dancing to the many folk tunes of Pakistan.

A beautiful fairy tale (Nathan's Nightmare) about goblins and pixies was conducted by class 2 and 3.

The main feature of the show was the English play called 'Greece'. This was a parody done by the children, featuring Zeus, Hera and other famous characters from the Greek mythology. The young students delivered their lines flawlessly and confidently and must have made their parents feel proud.

Speaking on the occasion former PNCA DG Naeem Tahir who was the chief guest, said that such events should be held often to keep performing arts alive. He said he was very happy to see children of this age group bringing out their talents. At the end of the show, Bloomfield Hall School Principal Mrs Shazia Javed presented school shield to Naeem Tahir.

Mehfil-e-Milad held at IMCG
Islamabad: The auspicious event of mehfil-e-milad was held at the auditorium of Islamabad Model College for Girls (IMCG), F-7/4 here Thursday.

The milad started with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by Sadaf Murtaza and was followed by the durood sharif. A group of participants presented Hamd and Naat.

The auditorium echoed with the beautiful sound of participants and audience reciting durood sharif. Fatima Ahsan recited Naat in a very impressive voice.

Mrs Hassan read some lines and shed light on Seerat-un-Nabi. She said that success lies only by following Holy Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) teachings.

It was followed by Saiqa'a speech on 'Deeds'. "The doings of Holy Prophet (PBUH) are the guiding lights for the whole of humanity", she mentioned.

A soul touching Naat was presented by a group of students of the college expressing their love for the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

"Such events provide students a chance to follow the teachings of Islam. Arranging mehfil-e-milad is the annual feature of the college activities", said a senior teacher of the college.

Former principal of the college Mrs Rukhsana Tufail and principals of other model colleges also attended the milad ceremony. The News
