Bloomfield Hall School Islamabad students enthral audience
Islamabad, April 25, 2008: It was a perfect spring evening, when the students of
Bloomfield Hall School Islamabad, put up an excellent performance on stage, at
the Pakistan National Council of Arts auditorium, focussing on the performing
arts, says a press release issued here Thursday.
The show started with
3-4 year olds, dressed in ethnic regional clothes, dancing to the many folk
tunes of Pakistan.
A beautiful fairy tale (Nathan's Nightmare) about
goblins and pixies was conducted by class 2 and 3.
The main feature of
the show was the English play called 'Greece'. This was a parody done by the
children, featuring Zeus, Hera and other famous characters from the Greek
mythology. The young students delivered their lines flawlessly and confidently
and must have made their parents feel proud.
Speaking on the occasion
former PNCA DG Naeem Tahir who was the chief guest, said that such events should
be held often to keep performing arts alive. He said he was very happy to see
children of this age group bringing out their talents. At the end of the show,
Bloomfield Hall School Principal Mrs Shazia Javed presented school shield to
Naeem Tahir.
