DUHS announces MBBS programme
Karachi, April 21, 2008: The Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) has announced the schedule of first semester Objective Structured Practical Examinations (OSPE) of first year professional MBBS.

The examination will be held on April 22, 24 and 26, 2008 at the Institute of Nursing, Ojha campus of the DUHS. According to the schedule, the reporting time of the OSPE for Anatomy, A1, Biochemistry B1 and Physiology C1 is 8.30 am and Anatomy A2, Biochemistry B2 and Physiology C2 is 10.30 am on April 22, for Anatomy B1, Biochemistry C1 and Physiology A is 8.30 am and Anatomy B2, Biochemistry C2 and Physiology A2 is 10.30 am on April 24 and Anatomy C1, Biochemistry A1 and Physiology B1 is 8.30 am and Anatomy C2, Biochemistry A2 and Physiology B2 is 10.30 am on April 26.

Group A comprises seat no 1 to 240 (A11-120, A2121-240), group B comprises seat no 241-296 and 401 to 584 (B1241-296 & 401-464, B2 465-584), group C comprises seat no 585-704 and 801 to 923 (C1585-706, C2801-925).

FUUAST examination forms
The Controller of Examination, Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science & Technology (FUUAST) on Saturday announced that the examination forms for BA, B Com Part- I, II, both and MA Part I, II (2006) and previous (private) of failed students will be received from April 21 to May 5.

The forms can be submitted with late fee of Rs200 from May 6 to May 15 while with Rs500 from May 16 to May 26 at the National Bank Urdu University Gulshan-e-Iqbal branch. Non-attested form will not be received, the release said.

FUUAST to remain closed today
The Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (FUUAST) will remain closed on Monday (today) to condole the death of a student who drowned in Hab Dam. A press release of the FUUAST said on Sunday that Umair Mughul, a student of BSc (Hons) of the Geology Department, drowned in the Hab Dam during a fieldwork and the university would remain closed today to mourn his sad demise. Qur'aan Khuwani would be held for the departed soul. The FUUAST faculty and other staff have condoled with the parents of Umair Mughul and prayed that the departed soul may rest in eternal peace. KU announces LLB result
University of Karachi (KU) has announced the results of LLB Final Year Supplementary Examination-2007. According to the statistics out of 162 registered students, 152 appeared and 97 of them passed the examination. The pass percentage was 55. Meanwhile, the university announced that the practical examination of Diploma in Child Health (DCH) scheduled to be held on April 28 and April 29 will now be held on May 6 and May 7. Moreover, the last date for submission of registration forms for attending the Annual Convocation has been extended till April 26, 2008. Furthermore, the practical examination-2007 of Statistics B.Sc. (Pass) First and Second Year for leftover candidates will be held from May 2 to May 6 and that of Bio-Statistics from May 2 and May 5, 2008 at the Department of Statistics. The News
