'Educational institution is the political nursery debate' contest
Karachi: Retired Justice Wajihuddin Ahmad has said that educational institutions have produced great leaders but these institutions should not be used as a place for hatching political conspiracies.

He was speaking at a debate contest on "Educational institution is the political nursery" organised by the Islami Jamiat Tulba at the University of Karachi on Thursday.

He observed that the standard of education was falling, and cautioned that if it was not improved now, the nation might face a bleak future.

He said that huge funds were being spent on higher education but much of them were being spent on salaries leaving a little for the welfare and grooming of students.

KU Vice-Chancellor Dr Pirzada Qasim Raza Siddiqui, Haroon Rasheed, Osama bin Razi, Furqan Ansari, Khushboo, Fatima, Qurat-ul-Ain and others also spoke. Dawn
