Karachi, Apr 17: The Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) notified for the information of all concerned that the
practical examination of SSC I and II Annual Examination 2010 of
Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Studies, Food & Nutrition,
Clothing & Textile & Braille of Science & General Group is
commencing from April 26. The programme is ready and may be collected by managements of schools as per the following schedule:- April 20: New Karachi, North Nazimabad, Gulberg, Liaquatabad,Gulshan-i-Iqbal and Jamshed towns. BSEK team catches 55 exam cheaters
The vigilance team of the Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK)
led by BSEK chairman Syed Inzar Hussain Zaidi conducted raids on 12
schools on Friday and caught 55 candidates using unfair means in the
exam. In the Ebrahim Ali Bhai SBSS FB Area candidates with the
following roll numbers were caught red-handed while using unfair means
in the exam: 410749, 411546, 411549, 412281, 411547, 411577, 410755,
410726, 41258, 410712, and 411548. In the Allama Iqbal GBSS FB
Area, the candidates with the following roll numbers were caught
red-handed while using unfair means in the exam: 412454, 412729. In the
Tameer-e-Nau GBSS No 1 Nazimabad, the candidates with the following
roll numbers were caught red-handed while using unfair means in the
exam: 408217, 408206, 408252, 408249, 408254, 408229, 408322 and 408196. The
vigilance team also raided Green Land GBSS Nazimabad, A U Islamia GBSS
Usmania Colony Nazimabad, and Everest Grammar School Gulistan-e-Johar
and caught red-handed 13, six, and 15 candidates, respectively. The news

Rustication of student for paper leaking: SHC seeks evidence from NED registrar
Karachi: The Sindh High Court (SHC) directed the NED University of
Engineering and Technology Karachi registrar to submit evidence of
leaking a paper for which a final year chemical engineering student was
rusticated. Petitioner
Bushra Ejaz challenged her rustication from NED on alleged allegation
of leaking papers in connivance with teachers. She is final year
student of chemical engineering and obtained first class marks in three
years. On Friday, Advocate Obaidur Rehman filed counter
affidavit on behalf of the NED registrar and submitted inquiry report,
which stated copies of two papers were found from the computer used by
teacher Fahad, who had gone to Germany on scholarship. The university
vice chancellor ordered a high level inquiry by a team of teachers,
which retrieved copies of leaked papers from official computers of
university with highly objectionable material shared between teachers
Adilur Rehman, Saad Hashmi, Fahad and Zahid Nabi with university's
female students. Diyat: The SHC directed the federal and
provincial law officers to inform whether Diyat amounts outstanding
against 18 convicts confined across Sindh despite serving sentences
could be paid from funds of Ministry of Zakat and Ushr for their
release. A division bench, comprising Justice Mushir Alam and
Justice Tufail H Ebrahim, passed an order on petition seeking direction
to provincial zakat and ushr department to pay Rs 754,875 as Diyat to
secure release of prisoner Allah Bachayo confined in Karachi Central
Jail due to non-payment of Diyat amount. ppi
