Climate change programme at KU
Karachi, 27 April(The News): A climate change management (CLIMA) training programme is being held at the
University of Karachi (KU), under the auspices of the Area Study Centre for
Europe, Centre of Excellence in Marine Biology and the Institute of
Environmental Studies.
The workshop funded by the EU will continue till
May 5. It is the EU's initiative to foster regional and multinational networking
between higher education institutions of EU member states and South Asia,
South-East Asia and China in areas of human resource and curriculum development
etc.
The project involves seven partners - International Centre IDEAS of
the University of Venice, Italy; Ecole des Hantes Etudes en Sciences Sociales,
France; School of Environment and Natural Resources Rennuin University of China;
Vrjei Universiteit Ameserdam/Institute for Environmental Studies, Netherlands;
Tsinghus University Beijing; University of Padua, Italy, and KU.
