NESCOM to recruit engineers from FAST varsity
ISLAMABAD, April 16(The News): The National Engineering and Scientific Commission (NESCOM), the
country's prestigious defence organisation, has shown keen interest in
recruiting scientists and engineers from the FAST National University.
In this regard, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between
the two here by Chairman NESCOM Dr Samar Mubarikmand and Reactor FAST National
University Dr Amir Muhammad.
According to the university officials, the
two organisations would contribute to human resource development in science and
technology by following the MoU.
The FAST University will provide NESCOM
with a list of candidates who have secured 70 per cent or above marks throughout
their academic careers and are willing to join NESCOM on successful completion
of their studies. These candidates would be interviewed by a NESCOM selection
board to award fellowships. NESCOM and the FAST University have also agreed to
promote the cause of high education and research in science and technology.
NESCOM has approved the FAST-NU MS programmes in computer science, software
project management, telecom engineering and mathematics for postgraduate
fellowships.

"its good idea to recruit scientists and engineers from the univercities of pakistan but it should not be limited to FAST university only it should be expanded to the other top universites of pakistan ."
