Overseas scholarships for PhD announced
ISLAMABAD, April 18(The News): The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has invited applications from
Pakistani/AJK nationals for the award of scholarships for higher studies leading
to PhD in selected fields for 2007-08.
The scholarships will be awarded for the
academic session - fall 2007 or spring 2008 - in the HEC-identified world top
ranked discipline-wise universities of the US, the UK, Canada, Australia, Japan
and Singapore, etc. The HEC on Tuesday announced that the candidates for these
scholarships must have a minimum of 16 years of education (MSc, MA, MBA, ME, MS,
BE/BSc (Engg), MBBS or equivalent) and maximum two second divisions throughout
the academic career.
