Graduation ceremony at PAF Air War College
KARACHI, April 19(The Nation) : A graduation ceremony was held at PAF Air War College to award the
certificates to the graduates of Senior Command and Staff Course. Air Marshal
Aurangzeb Khan, Deputy Chief of the Air Staff (Training) was the chief guest on
the occasion. On arrival at the Air War College the Chief Guest was received by
Commandant Air War College Air Vice Marshal Tubrez Asif.
Chief instructor
(Staff Wing) Wing Commander Asif Mehmood presented the Course Report and
highlighted the essential aspects of the course. The Chief Guest awarded the
certificates to the graduating officers.
Squadron Leader Tariq Mehmood Ghazi
stood first and was awarded Chief Of Air Staff Trophy for overall best
performance in the course. In his address, the Chief Guest congratulated the
graduating officers and lauded the efforts of the faculty of Air War College and
reiterated that Pakistan Air Force has a challenging and an exacting Mission
Statement to measure up to.
"In terms of the calculus of 'numbers' alone, we
can never match our much larger adversary. However, by the grace of Allah, with
the strength of our faith, and through the quality of our training, I am
confident that we can measure up to the task. Quality training, therefore,
becomes not only an effective force multiplier but rather a compulsion for the
PAF," he observed.
It may be mentioned here that the PAF Air War College is
the premier institution of the Pakistan Air Force, where senior officers of the
Pakistan Armed Forces and friendly countries are prepared for assumption of key
Command & Staff appointments, especially in the employment of air power.
