HEC announces postdoctoral fellowships
ISLAMABAD, April 24(Daily Times): The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has announced
postdoctoral fellowships at the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI), London,
UK.
The HEC has invited applications from Pakistan and Azad Jammu and
Kashmir holding PhD degree and meet the RUSI's eligibility criteria for the
academic year 2007-08. Applicants should have received their doctoral degree
from HEC recognised universities in the fields of social sciences, arts or
humanities, applicants should not be above 50 years. Applicants should also be
regular employees of the HEC recognised public/private universities or degree
awarding Institutes. Their research proposals should be relevant to academic,
defence or security issues, specifically related to South East Asia/Pakistan.
Their teaching experience should also demonstrate their teaching/research in
their discipline with a focus on South East Asian affairs. Applicants must not
have availed postdoctoral fellowship by the HEC in the last five
years.
The duration of the fellowship will be nine to twelve months.
