Psychology moot at GCU
LAHORE, 28 April(Daily Times): The Government College
University's (GCU) Psychology department, in collaboration with the Higher
Education Commission and British Council, organised a conference on Cross
Cultural Psychology on Friday.
GCU Dean of Arts Dr Sohail Ahmad said
cross-cultural understanding referred to the ability of people to recognise,
interpret and react to cultural differences. He said misunderstandings about
other cultures could be eliminated this way. Birmingham University (BU) Clinical
psychologist Dr Jane Oyebode said BU and GCU would collaborate in research of
psychological aspects.
