Karachi University Phd entrance test

KU entry test
Karachi, Aug 18: The Karachi University registrar has announced that the entrance test for admission in the PhD (Law) will be held on August 29 from 10am to 12noon at the university's arts auditorium.

The candidates securing at least 60 per cent marks will be eligible to appear before the interview committee. ppi

Burnhall College wins declamation contest
Murree: Army Burnhall College has won a declamation contest held at the Lawrence College Ghora Gali (LCGG). The All Pakistan Inter-Collegiate Bilingual Declamation Contest 2010 was held as a part of the series of events in connection with the 150 years celebrations of LCGG. MNA Ayaz Amir, an old Gallian, was the chief guest.

The students of Abbottabad Public School, Aitcheson College, Cadet College, Palandri, Fazaia Inter College, F.G. Sir Syed College, FC College University, G.C. University, Military College, Jhelum, Military College, Murree, and Punjab University Law College also participated in the declamation contest.

In his address, Ayaz Amir highlighted the importance of declamation and debates in the life of a student and asked students to participate in the co-curricular activities with enthusiasm. Mr Amir appreciated the standard of speeches and commended the efforts of the Principal Air Commodore (retd) Farooq Hussain Kiyani for arranging these activities.

GIKI staff donates
Swabi: The staff of Ghulam Ishaq Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology has donated one-day salary for the flood victims.

Jehangir Bashar, rector of the institute, constituted a five-member committee on Tuesday that will collect donations and monitor relief efforts to support the people in flood-affected areas in coordination with the Project Topi, a welfare body of the GIKI students. Dawn
