'Teachers should be more regular'
LAHORE, Aug 16: The government should bound teachers to ensure their
presence at colleges because it was the only way through which indigent students
could get education, said Imtiaz Akbar Khan, son of a labourer from Shahdara,
who secured third position in pre-engineering group.
He said that he has been
studying at the Civil Lines College. He said he had got 993 marks in
pre-engineering group. He said he succeeded in the examination because he worked
hard. He said, "Due to my meager resources I did not join a private academy." He
said his father's monthly income was around Rs 5,000. He said, as his teachers
were not regularly taking the classes, so he faced a lot of problems in his
studies. He said that he wanted to become an electrical engineer in the future.
He said he would try his luck to get admission in the University of Engineering
and Technology. Daily times
