DMC to open Thursday, SMC Monday
KARACHI, Aug 22: Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) announced
Tuesday that studies at Dow Medical College (DMC) would resume Thursday and at
the Sindh Medical College (SMC) August 27.
DUHS announced the suspension
of classes at DMC, SMC and the Dr Ishratul Ibad Institute of Oral Health
Sciences (IOHS) following altercations between two student groups at SMC last
week.
All students enrolled with the institutions are advised to display
their identity card while entering the college premises. Students who do not
have an identity card will be issued a provisional identity card at the gate of
their respective institution.
The DUHS announcement stated that all
students must strictly follow the university's student conduct rules which
pertain to the affidavit they submitted at the time of admission. app
