Pakistani students study arts in India
Vadodara, Aug 6: The much-awaited student from
other side of the border reported at the Faculty of Fine Arts of MSU on
Saturday. Tatheer Daryani, a girl student who has graduated from Indus Valley
School of Art and Architecture in Karachi, has enrolled in the first year of the
faculty's sculptor department.
This year MSU campus is abuzz with foreign students. Apart from SAARC
countries, students have come here from countries like Iraq, Afghanistan, West
Asia and Kenya.
Said Daryani: "Though I don't have any friend, people here are very helpful and
kind. There is no much cultural difference. My father accompanied me but he left
today. Now I am slowly getting acquainted with new surroundings."
Purvi Pokhariya, warden S D Hall, said: "Daryani has been given accommodation
on a temporary basis as she has applied for permanent hostel accommodation. She
has put up here for last two days."
