Health Services Academy to start PhD, masters degrees
ISLAMABAD, Aug 17: The Health Services Academy
(HSA) will start a doctorate and three new masters degree programmes in the
field of public health.
According to a press release, the decision to
this effect was taken in a meeting of the HSA Board of Governors held under the
chairmanship of Federal Health Minister Muhammad Nasir Khan here on
Thursday.
The board approved masters training programme and reiterated
importance of quality standards in public health education. The board also
approved a PhD degree programme in public health.
The programme will be
offered in collaboration with international educational institutions. Health
management and finance programmes in light of managerial skills will also be
initiated.
The board also approved the budget and development plans of
HSA and expressed satisfaction over the performance of HSA. Daily times
