IJT student's murderer arrested: SHO
KARACHI, Aug 28: The Saddar police have
arrested the student who killed the IJT's Farhan Ahmed and more than one hundred
students others from the IJT and PSA for rioting, according to Saddar SHO Naeem
Khan. Twenty PSA men, including the central leader of the Punjabi Pakhtoon
Ittehad were arrested from PSA House at JPMC. Their names are: Yasir, Adil,
Ghulam Mujtuba, Zia Ahmed, Rashid Abrar, Salim, Abid, Bashir, Shehzad, Sajid,
Emran, Kashan, Amir Manzoor, Fahim Qureshi, Mohammad Ilyas, Munnawar Iqbal,
Fareed Raza, Naeem, Choudhry Mazhar Iqbal and Abid.
Also, 80 IJT
activists were arrested during raids. They were first picked up the young men at
JPMC from the Quran khwani for Ahmed. FIR Nos. 136/07, 137/07, 138/07 (Under
Sections 147, 148, 149, 427, 393) were registered on behalf of the government.
The arrested IJT activists are: Zeeshan Ahmed, Mukhtiar Ahmed, Baqar, Raja
Masood, Mashwani, Junaid, Mohsin, Akhtar Ahmed, Mohammad Saeed, Ejaz Ashfaq,
Ghulam Mustafa, Ashiq, Bilal, Hamid, Nasir, Waqas.
Inspector Naeem Khan
said that after this action at JPMC, other students caught writing graffiti were
also arrested from Saddar: Gul Dad, Abu Qasim, Iqbal, Jibran, Saeed, Ashfaq,
Usama, Umair, Iqbal, Jawwad, Nawaz, Iqbal Durrani, Riaz, Ovais and Latif. Then
50 more IJT activists were arrested from a demonstration at the Karachi Press
Club, including DMC IJT Nazim Saeed Virani and Samiullah Hussaini of the
Muttahida Tulba Mohaaz (MTM). They were taken to Frere police station. Daily times
