THE theft of personal belongings on campuses has
increased. In a recent incident, a senior government official went to a college
to get admission forms for his daughter. He left his car door open and entered
the admissions office. When he returned, he found that his wallet was missing.
He went back to the admissions office and complained, but in
vain.
Colleges are taking strict security measures to stop such theft and
have displayed notices all over campuses, saying, "People are responsible for
their belongings." Daily times
