Inter exams, Gujranwala girls supremacy
GUJRANWALA, Aug 16: The Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education
throughout Punjab declared the annual results of intermediate on
Wednesday.
In Gujranwala, girls outshone boys by bagging all the first
three positions while the honour to clinch these top slots went to Punjab
College for Women, Gujranwala.
According to the controller examination,
67,671 candidates took part in the examination. Of them 47,104 candidates were
declared successful with a pass percentage of 69.61.
Vina Javed (Roll No
84087) stood first with 996 marks while Ayesha Saeed (76466) and Arooj Fatima
(76415) secured second and third positions with 989 and 986 marks,
respectively.
MULTAN: A total of 42,530 candidates appeared in the annual
examination out of whom 27,782 were declared successful, showing a pass
percentage of 65.32.
Zaira Abbas and Romana Afzal of the Punjab College
for Women, Multan, clinched the first and second positions by securing 998 and
996 marks, respectively.
While Amna Asif of the Punjab College for Women,
Multan; Abdul Wasae, Hafiz Furqan Waseem and Abdul Wahab of Divisional Public
School and College, Sahiwal, shared the third position by obtaining 991
marks.
DERA GHAZI KHAN: The pass percentage remained 70.32 as out
of 18,714 candidates appeared in the examination, 13,160 were declared
successful.
Muhammad Usman Javed (24503) of the Pakistan Atomic Energy
Commission Secondary School clinched the first position by obtaining 1009
marks.
While Muhammad Yasir Rafique (20559) of the Government College,
Layyah, got second position with 1006 marks and Saba Batool
(19508) of
the Government College for Women, Layyah, secured third position with 996
marks.
SARGODHA: Districts of Khushab, Sargodha and Bhakkar
maintained their superiority in the annual intermediate examination.
Out
of 18,348 candidates appeared in the examination, 6,007 were declared successful
showing a pass percentage of 67.26.
Rana Amjad Ali (29187) of the PAF
Public School, Sargodha, bagged the first position by getting 958 marks while
Abu Bakar Saleem (29042) of Punjab College of Information Technology (Boys),
Sargodha, secured second position with 954 marks.
The third position was
shared by Adnan Manzoor (29205) and Muhammad Asif Ali (29200) of PAF Public
School, Sargodha. Both candidates obtained 952 marks. Dawn
