PSA blames IJT for violence at JPMC, SMC
Karachi, Aug 29: Abid Gujjar of the Punjabi Students Association (PSA) has alleged
that it was Islami Jamiat Talaba (IJT) and not the PSA that had perpetuated a
reign of terror in Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) and Sindh Medical
College (SMC).
The allegations were levelled against the rival student
group at a press conference that was called by the PSA on Tuesday at the Karachi
Press Club (KPC). The PSA demanded that the murderers of its activist who was
killed in the police custody on Tuesday should be brought to justice. The dead
student Muhammad Salim Awan was the student of Jamia Millia Polytechnic
Institute.
In the meantime, the IJT has expressed its surprise about the
fictional statements of the PSA because they wanted to know that what brought
the student from Jamia Millia to the JPMC. According to the PSA the deceased had
gone there to seek a meeting with the JPMC officials. He died in police custody
while still handcuffed negates the allegation that he was killed by the IJT,
