KU, JUW & FUUAST announcements
Karachi, Aug 2 - KU: The University of Karachi will hold a two-day International
Conference on Social Sciences in the first week of September. Registration will
be open till August 15.
Elections for the 12 seats reserved for the KU
Senate were held on Tuesday. Aneela Amber Malik topped the list with 244 votes
followed by Dr Abid Hasnain (240 votes). The remaining 10 teachers who were
elected include Dr Anjum Bano (212), Saba Masood (201), Tanveer Abbas (186), Dr
Fayyaz Hussain Madni (181), Dr Majid Mumtaz (178) Asrar Ahmed Siddiqui (170), Dr
Haris Shoib and Masooma Rizvi Mir (167), Shahid Quraishi (162), Farhat Hussain
Khan (157).
JUW: The bi-annual magazine of the Department of Zoology,
Jinnah University for Women (JUW), and Proceeding of Parasitology has been
published.
FUUAST: The varsity has announced the results of MSc
(Geology), MSc Zoology and MSc Botany annual examination 2006. The pass
percentage was 78.57, 78.s1 and 79.3 respectively. The news
