21 Lal Masjid students released
ISLAMABAD, Aug 18: The government released late
on Friday 21 students of Lal Masjid, who were detained during the military
operation last month.
Adiala Jail Deputy Superintendent Malik Feroz said
the students were released on the Supreme Court's orders. The court on Friday
ordered the release of these 21 students against whom there were no charges.
Feroz said 50 more Lal Masjid students were still in the jail and a police team
had been sent to the Simly Dam rest house in Islamabad to ensure the release of
Asma Aziz, the daughter of detained former chief cleric of Lal Masjid and Jamia
Hafsa Maulana Abdul Aziz. Daily times
