Punjab schools official gets SCBA notice
LAHORE, Aug 31: Supreme Court Bar Association
(SCBA) secretary Sayed Zulfiqar Ali Bokhari has sent a legal notice to special
secretary schools in Punjab, for causing mental torture to the lawyers'
community by sending show cause notices to the teachers for participating in
lawyers rallies.
Bokhari told Capt (r) Zahid Saeed, special secretary
schools, to pay Rs 500 million to the SCBA within two months after receiving the
notice otherwise a suit for damages would be filed against him and in that case
he would also be liable to pay all costs of the suit.
Bokhari said that
in the notices issued to Muhammad Azam Butt and other teachers, he (the
secretary) had levelled false, frivolous and scandalous allegations against
lawyers.
Bokhari said that Saeed had injured the feelings of the patriot
lawyers seriously. He had tried to defame the lawyers movement, which had been
launched for the rule of law and protection of the constitution. Daily times
