Sindh varsity to publish five books
HYDERABAD, Aug 21: The University of Sindh's Bureau of Translation and
Publication has got five books on natural and medical sciences translated from
English into Sindhi and they are ready for publication.

Dr A. M. Dharejo informed Vice-Chancellor Mazharul Haq Siddiqui about this
development at a bureau meeting. He said that PC-I of publication the books had
bee handed over to the planning and development cell of the university for
submission to the Higher Education Commission for seeking financial
assistance.
The meeting decided that a letter would be sent to the
vice-chancellors of different universities, principals of colleges and research
scholars, requesting them to provide material, particularly on science subjects,
so that the bureau could publish more books.
The meeting was attended by
university registrar Mohammad Saleh Rajar, head of Sindhi department Dr Noor
Afroze Khuwaja and director finance Faiz Mohammad
Hingoro.
ENCROACHMENTS: The University of Sindh on Monday lodged a
complaint with the Jamshoro police against three land grabbers involved in
encroachments upon the university land.
The estate director, in his
letter addressed to the Jamshoro SHO said that the university had sought on
August 17 registration of an FIR against Din Mohammad Chandio, Shabbir Umrani
and Noor Mohammad Shoro who had erected a katcha structure on the university
land in Railo Deh, Kotri taluka. He asked the SHO to register an FIR and take
necessary action against the accused. Dawn
