Scholarship exam likely in September
LAHORE, Aug 7: Scholarship examination for classed V and VIII would be
held in the third week of September, said special secretary (schools) Capt (r)
Zahid Saeed on Monday.
He was addressing a meeting of EDOs (Education), a
handout said.
He said all the EDOs (Education) offices would receive
applications from the candidates by September 5. He said all the students would
be eligible to appear in these examinations. He said conducting scholarship
examination was an excellent tradition of the education system. He said all the
students of private and public schools have been allowed to join these
examinations without any fee. He said a summary has been sent to the chief
minister for the recruitment of 26,000 teachers. He directed all the EDOs to
point out vacancies in their respective districts. Daily times
