UET's entrance tests on 19th
PESHAWAR, Aug 18: The NWFP University of Engineering and Technology (UET)
will hold its entrance test for the undergraduate engineering programme,
2007-2008 session, on August 19. According to a statement issued here on Friday,
the tests will simultaneously be held at the Colonel Sher Khan Stadium (former
Army Stadium) in Peshawar, Akram Khan Durrani College in Bannu and Ayub Medical
College in Abbottabad.
The Education Testing and Evaluation Authority (ETEA)
will conduct the test at 9 am, while the entry gates of test venues will open at
6 am. In Peshawar, the stadium's gates near Pizza Hut will be open for boys,
while girls will enter the gates located on Sher Khan Road. Candidates should
reach the venues at 8:30 am sharp, as latecomers will not be allowed to sit in
the test, said the release, adding that candidates should bring admit cards,
black or blue pens and clipboards, while calculators or other devices including
digital watches and mobile phones would be disallowed. The entrance test results
will be available on ETEA's website after 24 hours of the test, while
advertisement for admission to the UET's undergraduate programme will appear on
August 20 and 21 in leading newspapers. Daily times
