UHS VC affiliates new medical college with UHS
LAHORE, Aug 23: University of Health Sciences (UHS) Vice-Chancellor Prof
Dr Malik Hussain Mubashhar announced affiliation of recently notified
undergraduate medical college set up at Lahore General Hospital (LGH) with UHS.
The VC made this announcement in a meeting with the faculty members of the Post
Graduate Medical Institute (PGMI) and LGH on Wednesday. Prof Mubashhar praised
the efforts of chief minister and PGMI Principal Prof Dr Sajjad Hussain for the
promotion of medical education and healthcare services in Punjab. Prof Hussain
briefed the VC about the medical education and healthcare services being offered
at PGMI and LGH. He said the PGMI would be transformed into a modern medical
education institute after the establishment of seven-storey building costing Rs
1.25 billion. Later, Prof Mubashhar visited hospital emergency department and
