HEC gets anti-plagiarism software
ISLAMABAD, Aug 12: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has acquired a computer
software 'Ithenticate' to check plagiarism, said a press release issued on
Saturday.
The software will automatically compare sentences and
paragraphs of write-ups of Pakistani authors with all international
publications, thereby, easily detecting copied material. The software will be
used for PhD students. The HEC will freeze funds of universities that will not
take appropriate action against plagiarism. Daily times
