FUUAST evening admissions: SSUET won first prize
Karachi, Dec 24, 2007: The Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (FUUAST), has
announced admissions to evening classes in various disciplines.
The
disciplines offered include three years B.Sc. Honours in Chemistry,
Microbiology, Biochemistry and Physics. For B.A. Honours (three years) the
subjects are: Mass Communication, Education and English.
A three year
Honours programme is also offered in BBA, B.Com. and Economics. Two years
Masters programme in science is being offered in MS Computer Science, M.Sc.
Mathematical sciences. The two years Masters programmes would also be offered in
Mass Communication, Education, English as well as in MBA, M.Com. and
Economics.
An announcement from the institution said that the eligibility
for the admission is second division. The admission forms can be obtained and
submitted from December 26 to January 10. The admissions on all-Pakistan basis
will be given on the basis of merit, it was further stated.
SSUET:
A
six-member team of Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET) won
the first prize in poster competition at the 6th Hamdard Symposium held from
December 14 to December 16. The winning poster was titled 'Computer based tool
for coronary heart disease risk assessment'. While the winning team comprised
Furqan Sami, Kamran Hameed, Quratulain Ali Siddiqui, Razia Alvi, Farah Mohammad
Yasin and Maria Sabah. The News
