International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) Admission date extended
Islamabad, Dec 10, 2007: International Islamic University,
Islamabad (IIUI) has extended the last date for admissions in all of its
academic programmes (2008) till December 31, 2007 as announced by Director
Academics Gulzar Ahmad Khawaja here Saturday. Earlier, the last date for
admissions was December 15, 2007.
Anti-corruption day observed at Islamic varsity
Islamabad: Accountability is responsibility and it is answer of the task
assigned to you, as everybody is answerable to the task assigned to him.
According to a press release, Women Campus International Islamic
University Director Professor Farhat Mujtaba made these remarks while delivering
a lecture organised here Saturday to commemorate the International
Anti-corruption Day.
She said parents are accountable for the upbringing
of their students and if they do not fulfil their duty properly their children
will become a liability rather than an asset.
She advised the students
that self-respect is an important part of life and if they inculcate it among
themselves they will never be defeated in life. Students should be strong enough
and be a good and effective citizen, she said adding, it is only possible when
they do not compromise on their values and morals. Quoting Quaid-a-Azam sayings
she said that the great leader of the subcontinent always stressed on the nation
to do their work with full commitment. Director women campus said only
struggling people succeed in life and dignity of labour is the only key to
success.
In the end, head of Urdu Department IIUI Professor Qasiarah M.
Alvi presented vote of thanks. A large number of faculty members, employees and
students attended the lecture. The News
