"Women's studies is an interdisciplinary field which has been well
established in the West.
It draws upon Anthropology, Sociology,
Psychology, and other social sciences, several physical sciences, History,
Literature and visual arts. One of the reasons behind establishing this
field is to compensate for the neglect of women in academic fields.
Women's Studies provides a new perspective on traditional knowledge. In short, one would have job opportunities in different Government departments or NGOs after completing the degree.
