Dow University & KMU declares MBBS, BDS results
Karachi, Dec 18, 2007: Controller of
Examination, Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS), on Monday announced
results of Second Professional MBBS Annual Examination, 2008 of Dow Medical
College and Sindh Medical College. According to the results, Mehwish Bano got
first position by securing 672 marks out of 900, Aisha Rehman clinched second
position with 660 marks, while Samia Hussian and Tayyabba Malik shared third
position by securing 658 marks. The News
Khyber Medical University (KMU) declares MBBS, BDS results
PESHAWAR: The Khyber Medical University (KMU), Peshawar, on
Monday declared the results of the MBBS and BDS part-1 examinations for the
academic year 2007.
The university, the first one of its kind in the
NWFP, announced that of the 564 students who took the MBBS examinations 381 had
been declared successful, according to a press release issued here on
Monday.
The press release said 249 students of the Khyber Medical College
(KMC), Peshawar, 201 candidates of the Ayub Medical College (AMC), Abbottabad,
59 students of the Saidu Medical College, Swat, and 55 students of the Gomal
Medical College, Dera Ismail Khan, took the MBBS part-1 examinations, held in
November.
The pass percentage for MBBS part-1 was 68 per cent and 56 per
cent for the BDS examinations.
The number of candidates from the Khyber
College of Dentistry (KCD), Peshawar, who took the examination was 49.
Twenty-five candidates from the AMC's dental section also sat the examination,
the press release said.
According to the results declared by the
university, Amira Qadeer obtained 383 marks and stood first. Mujahida Bibi got
380 marks and clinched the second position and Yusra Nabi Khattak got 372 out of
a total of 525 and stood third in the BDS first part examination.
Dr
Mohammad Daud Khan, vice-chancellor of the KMU, was the chief guest of the
