UVAS starts implementing Tenure Track Scheme
LAHORE, Dec 27, 2007: University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) started
implementation of Tenure Track Scheme (TTS) and appointed seven assistant
professors on TTS basis.
A statement issued here on Wednesday stated
that the TTS appointments have been made after the approval of Syndicate on the
recommendation of Selection Board of the university.
The syndicate also
approved appointment of eight professors on regular basis on the recommendation
of the university selection board.
The syndicate and selection board
meetings were chaired by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr Muhammad Nawaz and all the
appointments have been made on open merit all-Pakistan basis.
The
teachers, appointed on Tenure Track Scheme, are Dr. Muhammad Athar Khan, Dr.
Habibur Rehman, Dr. Ahmad Ali, Dr. Mian Abdul Hafeez, Dr. Sibtain Ahmad, Dr.
Saulcha Riffat and Dr. Afzal Hussain.
The professors, appointed on
regular basis, are Dr. Mansoor-ud-Din Ahmad, Dr. Irshad Hussain, Dr. Muhammad
Aleem, Dr. Azhar Maqbool,Dr. Muhammad Arif Khan, Dr. Makhdoom Abdul Jabbar, Dr.
Anjum Khalique and Dr. Naureen Aziz Qureshi.
The Associate Professors
are Dr. Mian Abdul Sattar, Dr. Muhamad Younis, Dr. Fareena Malik Khattak, Dr.
Muhammad Lateef and Dr. Abdul Shakoor while Assistant Professors are Shahan
Azeem, Alia Basheer, Rana Muhammad Ayub and Dr. Shahid Javed.
The
syndicate also confirmed the appointment of Sardar Muhammad as Deputy Registrar,
Rana Amjad Iqbal as Director Sports, Dawar Hameed Mughal as Deputy Director of
the Quality Enhancement Cell and Imran Younus Chohan as Network Engineer. The News
