'Science needs only learning by doing'
Lahore: Teaching science does not need to open books or copies, as science needs only learning by doing. This was said at a seminar on modern pedagogical techniques by the Punjab Education Foundation at Punjab University on Wednesday. The one-day seminar, attended by over 100 teachers from several Punjab districts, discussed modern techniques regarding teaching science, mathematics and English.

Salma Aziz, a renowned educationist, said teachers could create interest among students about science subjects through making their concepts on science theories clear and crystal. She said science needed no telling but it arose curiosity among the target groups.

Obaidul Rehman introduced several techniques about creating environment conducive to learning in the classroom. He said the learners of the second language should be encouraged to the targeted language inside and outside the classroom. Fatima Abdul Jabbar and Hameedullah spoke over Gloom Taxonomy.
