SSC exams: KU llb exams, Al-Noor Degree College disaffiliated
300,000 to take SSC exams from April 15
Karachi, Feb 26, 2008: The SSC Science and General groups (regular and private)
annual examinations, 2008 will begin on April 15.
This was announced by
the controller of examinations of the Board of Secondary Education, Karachi
(BSEK), here on Monday.
He said that these examinations would be
conducted simultaneously and it was expected that the number of students taking
these exams would exceed 300,000, which was a record.
The preparations
for the conduct of the examinations were in full swing and the finalisation of
the exam schedules was in the final stages, he said, adding that the admit cards
for the private candidates would be dispatched on March 10. Dawn
KU disaffiliates Al-Noor Degree College
The University of Karachi (KU) has disaffiliated Al-Noor Degree College D-41,
Block N, North Nazimabad/ Block 18 Federal B Area offering B.Com
programme.
The students already admitted in B.Com part-I during last
academic session are advised to get themselves transferred to some other
affiliated colleges, said a notification issued on Monday. Meanwhile, Governor
Sindh and Chancellor of public sector universities in Sindh, Dr Ishratul Ibad
Khan has nominated Dr Muhammad Shamsuddin, Dean, Faculty of Arts, as member
Syndicate, KU with immediate effect for a period of three years, said an order
issued from the Secretariat of Governor Sindh on Monday.
FUUAST:
The
Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (FUUAST) have announced
that the tuition fee for the evening classes can be deposited by March 5, 2008,

Sindh Governor and University
of Karachi (KU) Chancellor Dr Ishrat-ul-Ibad Khan exercised the powers vested in
him under Section 22 (1) (vii) of the University of Karachi Act-1972 (amended)
as the KU Chancellor nominated KU Faculty of Arts Dean Dr Muhammad Shamsuddin as
a member of the KU syndicate for three years coming into force immediately
