AKU defeat Altamash in girls' throwball tournament
KARACHI, Feb 27(Daily Times): The inaugural ceremony of the Third Inter-University
Throwball Tournament (for girls) organised by the Aga Khan University (AKU) was
held Sunday at the AKU Sports Centre Gymnasium. In the first match, AKU defeated
Altamash Institute of Dental Medicine's team A 15-2 and 15-10. Masooma Aqeel and
Samia Altaf from AKU performed well while Zehra Hasan from Altamash put up a
good fight.
In the second match, the Institute of Business Administration
(IBA) defeated Ziauddin Medical University (15-10 and 15-2). Saadia Wajid and
Yousra Taj did well from the winning side as did Anum Saeed from Ziauddin. The
third match saw Greenwich University defeat FAST-NU 15-3 and 15-1. Tinath Saeed
and Jihan Shirazee from Greenwich performed well while Muneeba Adil from FAST-NU
gave a good performance.
In the last match for the day, L'ecole
Institute for Advanced Studies defeated Iqra University with the score 15-0 and
15-1.
