Engineering curriculum to be revised: HEC
ISLAMABAD, 16 Feb (Daily Times): The Higher Education Commission's (HEC) National
Curriculum Review Committee met on Thursday to prepare a standard engineering
curriculum that met international standards.

Dr Sohail Naqvi chaired the meeting. Conveners of various curriculum committees
attended the meeting and proposed supporting courses such as mathematics,
physics, English, communication skills, social sciences and humanities for the
engineering curriculum. Participants discussed different aspects to restructure
the curriculum and remove redundancies found in curricula. They proposed a
generic curriculum for engineering and approved 128 to 134 credit hours in eight
semesters as requirements to pass the course.
