Chinese students join International Islamic University
ISLAMABAD, Feb 24(Daily Times): A function was held at the International Islamic
University Islamabad (IIUI) on Friday to welcome 27 Chinese students, including
10 girls and three non-Muslims who have joined the university's BA English
programme.
Their admissions were allowed under a memorandum of
understanding (MoU) signed between the IIUI and the Nin'xia University, China to
promote bilateral relations between the two countries in the field of
education.
IIUI President Dr Anwar Hussain Siddiqui addressed the welcome
party and told the Chinese students that Pakistan and China shared in each
other's joys and pains. He said the university would look after the Chinese
students' interests. Vice President Dr Khalifa Hasan, Student Affairs Dean Dr
Nasim Shah Sherazi, Students' Advisor Dr Khalifa Hasan, Sports Officer Syed
Manzoor Hussain Shah, Public Relations Officer Syed Muzammil Hussain, and Prof
Rajab Ali from the Nin'xia University also attended the function.
