No teacher for MIS students at Sindh University
JAMSHORO, Feb 9(The News): Seven eligible students of Master's programme in the Public
Administration (Previous) Department of the University of Sindh are suffering as
they are not getting any education owing to non-availability of a teacher of
Management Information System (MIS) subject.
Their best efforts,
spanning over a month, to obtain a teacher to get the classes started have
failed.
The students were of the view that if a teacher was not
available for subject, then why the university's admission catalogue
incorporated the subject of the Management Information System in the syllabus.
They said the department's chairman could easily call a teacher from the
IT and Master of Computer Science Department of the university.
When
contacted, the department chairman said arrangements to bring the required
teacher have been made by the induction of Ikhtiar Lashari. However, he claimed
that according to rules, a minimum of 10 studentsÍ group needs to be formed for
the teaching of the subject.
When asked to show evidence or criteria for
this, he could not give an appropriate reply to this correspondent.
