AIOU exams : Federal Board extends date

According to new schedule
issued by Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU), the final examinations for
Semester Spring 2007 would be started from tomorrow (January 10). The final
examinations of AIOU from Matric to Ph.D level for the said Semester were
postponed due to Liaquat Bagh tragic incident and national elections, said the
spokesman of the university.He said that AIOU has issued new dates for the
conduct of these examinations and according to new schedule, now the exams would
start from January 10 and would continue till January 24, 2008. Moreover, the
students can obtain the schedule of the examination from the university website
which is, www.aiou.edu.pk.
FBISE extends date
Islamabad: The Federal Board of Intermediate and
Secondary Education (FBISE) has extended the date for submission of metric forms
on the demand of Private Schools Association. Earlier the last date was fixed at
January 8 and now it has been extended till January 14. Regular and private
candidates can submit their forms till January 14. President of Private School
Association Chaudhry Abaidullah has lauded the FBISE decision for extension of
