HEC invites applications from unemployed graduates
Islamabad, Jan 5, 2008: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has invited applications from
Pakistani citizens for award of subsistence allowance to unemployed graduates on
merit under the scheme "Supports to Scientific Talent" at the rate of Rs 10,000
per month.
All the M.Sc.or
graduates having 16 years of education in 1st division or equivalent
grade in the disciplines of Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Sciences, Biological
Sciences, Earth Sciences, Engineering, Electronics, Veterinary Sciences and
Agriculture are eligible for this allowance.
The HEC has advised
the applicants to submit a certificate from the University or college to the
effect that the candidate will be given teaching assignment if selected under
the scheme.
The selected
candidates would be paid subsistence allowance at the rate indicated above for a
maximum period of one year by the HEC upon submission of regular progress report
from heads of the institutions. App
