KU, SSUET postponed papers schedule
Karachi, Jan 04, 2008: The University of Karachi (KU) has rescheduled B.Com. B.Sc. B.A.
annual examinations for the first and the second year, which were postponed due
to the uncertain conditions of the metropolis.
According to the
rescheduled programme of first year issued on Thursday, the Banking and Finance
paper (for failure candidate only) will be held on January 12, Islamic
Studies/Ethics/Moral Philosophy (for non-Muslims) on January 22, Principles of
Accounting on January 24, Economic Analysis and Policy paper will be held on
January 26 and Pakistan Studies on January 29.
According to the second
year schedule, the papers for failure candidates will be held on the following
dates, Economics paper on January 11, Advanced Accounting on January 14, Cost
Accounting on January 16, Principles of Management on January 23, Business and
Industrial Law on January 25 and UrduMT/NMT/Sindhi/Humanities and Social Science
on January 29.
Moreover, certain BSc. (Pass) papers of annual examination
2007 have also been rescheduled. According to the new schedule, the paper
Chemistry IV and Economics-II will be held on January 11, Zoology-II and
Statistics (common with BA) on January 12, Geology-III, Biochemistry-III and
Computer Science-III (common with BA) on January 14, Botany-II and Mathematics-I
(common with BA) January 15, Botany-III and Statistics-III (common with BA)
January 16, Geology-I, Microbiology-II, Bio-Statistics-II and Computer Science-I
(common with BA) January 17, Botany-IV and Mathematics-III (common with BA)
January 22, Geology-II, Biochemistry-I and Statistics-II (common with BA) on
January 23, Geography-IV, Microbiology-III, Bio-Statistics-III and Computer
Science-IV (common with BA) Jan 25, Geology-IV, Biochemistry-IV and
Statistics-IV (common with BA) on Jan 26, Botany-I, Geography-II and Computer
Science-II (common with BA) on Jan 28 and Microbiology-IV, Bio-Statistics and
Mathematics-IV (common with BA) on Jan 29.
Furthermore, KU notified the
new schedule of BA (Pass) regular and external annual examination for the
students of the year 2007. According to schedule, the paper of International
Relations-II would be held on Jan 11, Statistics-I (common with BSc) on January
12, Computer Science-III (common with BSc) and General History-II on January 14,
Mathematics-I (common with BSc) and Braille-I January 15, Statistics-III (common
with BSc) on Jan 16, Computer Science-I (common with BSc) and General History-I
(Indo Pak and Modern Europe) on January 17, Mathematics-III (common with BSc)
and Braille-II on January 22, Statistics-II (common with BSc) Jan 23, Computer
Science-IV (common with BSc) and Philosophy-II Group A Metaphysics and Group-B
Problems and Concept of Science Jan 24, Mathematics-II (common with BSc) and
Fine Arts Jan 25, Statistics-IV (common with BSc) January 26, Computer
Science-II (common with BSc) and Philosophy-I Group A Ethics, Group B Methods
and History of Science on Jan 28, Mathematics-IV (common with BSc) and Fine
Arts-II on January 29, Geography-I and Mass Communication-I on Jan 30 and
Geography-II and Mass Communication-II on January 31.
SSUET Exams
Sir Syed University of
Engineering and Technology (SSUET), Controller of Examination issued a
notification on Thursday, which stated that the SSUET examination for the
postponed papers have been rescheduled to be held from January 7,
2008.
SMI to re-open on 7th
Principal of Sindh Madrasatul Islam (SMI) has
announced that due to the postponement of the general elections, the SMI will
now re-open on Monday, January 7, 2008 instead of January 11, 2008. The SMI
principal has directed the teaching staff and students to make sure their
attendance at the institution with effect from the above mentioned date. The News
