MA Arabic and LLB result declared
The Punjab University Examination Department has declared the
result of MA Arabic, Session 2005-2007. As many as 49 candidates had appeared in
the exam and all were declared successful. The roll numbers of the successful
candidates are; MAARF05001, MAARF05002, MAARF05003, MAARF05005, MAARF05006,
MAARF05007, MAARF05008, MAARF05009, MAARF05010, MAARF05011, MAARF05012,
MAARF05013, MAARF05014, MAARF05015, MAARF05016, MAARF05017, MAARF05018,
MAARF05019, MAARF05020, MAARF05021, MAARF05022, MAARF05023, MAARF05024,
MAARF05025, MAARF05026, MAARF05027, MAARF05029, MAARF05030, MAARF05031,
MAARF05032, MAARF05033, MAARF05034, MAARF05035, MAARF05036, MAARF05037,
MAARF05038, MAARF05039, MAARF05040, MAARF05041, MAARF05042, MAARF05043,
MAARF05044, MAARF05045, MAARF05046, MAARF05047, MAARF05048, MAARF05049,
MAARF05050, MAARF05051 and MAARF05052.
Meanwhile, PU Examination
Department also declared the result of LLB Part-I, Annual Examination, 2007.
According to a press release, 3225 candidates appeared in the
examination and 1196 were declared successful.

'PUIER degrees should be given equal status'
The degrees issued by the Punjab University Institute of Education and
Research (IER) are equal to those of other institutes of education and research
of the universities of the province, thatís why these degrees should also be
considered during the process of recruitment of teachers. This was stated on
Friday by IER Director Prof Dr Hafiz Muhammad Iqbal during a meeting with to
high officials of the Education department including Special Secretary (Schools)
Capt (r) Zahid Saeed, Additional Secretary Humayun Mazhar Sheikh and others.
Senior faculty members and chairmen of departments of the PU also attended the
meeting. The meeting also discussed the new policy for appointing teachers in
different government schools of the province by the Education department while
talking about the discrepancy in various degrees. The department officials
cross-questioned the IER director and got the clarification about the
discrepancies in degrees.
Bookfair held at RMC
Rawalpindi: Dr. Jamal Nasir, president of Pakistan Green Task Force and
coordinator for National Survey for Hepatitis B&C has said that knowledge is
the heritage of Muslims and we can achieve higher positions only by getting
knowledge, says a press release.
He said this while inaugurating a
bookfair at Rawalpindi Medical College under the auspices of 'Student Aid
Foundation' a welfare wing of Islamic Jamiat Talba, as chief guest.
He
said that book is the best friend of a person. We should seek knowledge &
guidance from the books. He advised the students to make book reading as their
daily habit. He praised the efforts of the persons involved in the conducting
bookfair and said that such bookfairs are very necessary to inculcate healthy
activities among students. Hafiz Baqa-ur-Rehman, Zubair Abbas, Hassan Zia, Umer
Farooq also spoke on the occasion. Abdul Mannan Bhatti, incharge of the bookfair
thanked Dr. Jamal Nasir for his efforts in patronising the different societies
of the students. He said that books of different topics are displayed in the
bookfair on concessional rates so that students can get benefit from this
bookfair. The News
