SU online lectures, Isra University admissions
HYDERABAD, Jan 11, 2008: The Institute of Information Technology (IIT),
University of Sindh, announced on Thursday that it had made arrangements for
online nationwide lecturing programme of eminent scientists and scholars on
different subjects at the multimedia conferring room of the
IIT.
According to the announcement by the director IIT, Dr Imdad Ismaili,
the online lecture programme initiated by the Higher Education Commission is
aimed at providing an opportunity to local scholars and educationists to listen
to lectures delivered by eminent scholars of national and international
universities on topics relevant to curriculum and modern aspects of different
fields.
The lectures would be simultaneously relayed in 22 universities
of Pakistan including University of Sindh.
According to the schedule, in
the subjects of science, Professor Eduaro Pinho Melo of University of Algarva,
Portugal, would deliver his lectures on protein stability and protein folding on
Jan 14 and 15 at 2.30pm. Professor Tarisha Greenhalgh of Primary Healthcare
London would deliver his lecture on healthcare on Jan 23.
In social
sciences, scholars including professor Serge Brand of Psychiatric University
Switzerland would deliver his lecture on classroom management on Jan 16;
Professor Eileen Clark on the hospital as an institution and Dr Risa Morimoto of
Toulouse Business School France, would lecture on climate changes on Jan
22.
Prof Eileen Clark of La Trobe University Australia would deliver
lecture on medical dominance revisited and professor Serge Brand of Psychiatric
University Switzerland, will deliver lecture on how to explain depressive
disorder on January 23.
In this connection, Dr Risa Morimoto of Toulouse
Business School delivered first lecture on introduction to sustainable
development on Thursday.
ISRA ADMISSIONS: HYDERABAD: Isra University has invited applications for admissions in its
various degree programmes, including business administration, information
technology, telecommunication, electronics, software engineering, multimedia
technology and computer science. The last date for submission of admission forms
is March 7, 2008. All candidates applying for bachelor and master degree
programmes will be required to pass the pre-admission test scheduled for March
9, 2008. However, candidates seeking admission to M.Phil and Ph.D programmes are
exempted from taking pre-admission test but they will take a GRE or equivalent
