Sindh Schools to reopen on 7th
Karachi, Jan 03, 2008: All government and
private schools will reopen on January 7 as per the old schedule announced by
the education department's steering committee, Sindh education department chief
secretary, Fazal-ur-Rehman, said. Winter vacations had initially been extended
till January 10, because the general elections had been planned for January 8.
Now that the latter have been postponed till February 18, however, keeping
educational institutions closed till January 10 is meaningless, the CS said. The News
