PU sets up counselling centre and student guidance
Lahore, Jan 03: The Punjab University's Health Centre has established a Student Guidance and Counselling Section.

According to a press statement issued on Friday, a team of doctors and experienced psychologists will provide advice and guidance to the students who face difficulty in pursuing their academic careers due to psychological and adjustment problems. The students will also be provided necessary medicines besides counselling.

PU Chief Medical Officer Dr Farasat Ali Syed said the counseling section had been established as per directives of Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran to resolve students' such problems as usually remained untreated in society and to build their personality. He said a career counseling section would be established at the PU's Student Teacher Centre (STC) to provide advice to students regarding communication skills, career building and procurement of suitable jobs.
