Poster exhibition held at FJWU
Rawalpindi: Communication Sciences Department of Fatima Jinnah
Women University (FJWU) on Friday showcased a documentary and poster exhibition
on the university premises. FJWU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof Dr Saeeda
Asadullah Khan inaugurated the exhibition that was largely attended by students
and faculty members. Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Dean Dr Samina A Qadir
and FJWU Registrar Maryam Rab were also present on the
occasion. Thirty-nine students took part in the exhibition. The students
attending a course of computer graphics and animation (advanced television
editing and mixing) prepared the documentaries and posters, which were put on
display. The exhibition was aimed to promote the students' talent in the
field of computer graphics. The response of the faculty as well as
students of other departments to the exhibition was encouraging. The
students briefed the VC on their basic motives and sources of inspiration. She
said the students' works, which depicted creativity by highlighting different
social issues, had impressed her to a great extent. "The students' works are
tremendous and worth watching," she said. Abida Mehmood, who offers the
course, said the course focussed on advanced projects in video editing,
composing and motion graphics. Daily Times
