2,600 kanals reserved for new AJK university
MIRPUR, Jan 1(APP): The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government has allocated
2,600 kanals of land in Mirpur for a new public sector engineering university
that will be a first of its kind in AJK, official sources said on Wednesday.
Sources said that the government had reserved 2,600 kanals for the project at
Sehens village near Mirpur city. AJK President Raja Zulqarnain Khan, the
chancellor of University of Azad Jammu Kashmir, had recently formed a
three-member committee to select the site.
