MRCP exams in Karachi from May
KARACHI, Jan 22(APP): The Sindh government has approved the British Council
Karachi as an examination centre for local fresh medical graduates as well as
general physicians who wish to appear for the Membership of the Royal College of
Physicians (MRCP), Edinburgh. Sindh Health Secretary Naushad Shaikh said Friday
that the first of the series of MRCP examinations will be held in May.
A similar
decision was said to have been taken by the Punjab government too and the exams
will be held under the supervision of the British Council Lahore as well in the
same month. As a next step, clinical exams for the MRCP degree will also be
conducted at the two centers, enabling local graduates to seek post-graduate
level education. The Dublin-based MRCP programme is a prestigious and
well-recognised syllabus that enhances educational as well as professional
opportunities for local students.
