DHA Degree College for Women BSc exam positions

DCW students get top positions in BSC exams
Karachi, July 11, 2008: Students of the DHA Degree College for Women (DCW) have clinched the top positions in BSc (final) annual examination, 2007, held under the University of Karachi (KU). Students' rally against DUHS entry test
Badin: A large number of students held a procession here on Thursday in protest against announcement of admission test by the Dow University of Health Sciences of Karachi before the announcement of intermediate results.

They said it was aimed at stopping students from interior of Sindh from applying for admission to the university.

The procession, which was held under the aegis of Shagird Ittehad Badin, started from Shahnawaz Chowk and terminated at the press club, where the protesters observed a sit-in and blocked the road for two hours.

Ittehad leaders Ghulam Rasool Soomro, Shahid Jokhio, Razzak Sheikh and Wafa Latif Jokhio said that the academic institutions of Karachi had been turned into no-go areas for students of interior Sindh.

They said that holding entry test for admission to MBBS in DUHS even before the announcement of intermediate result was an anti-student step and demanded cancellation of test results and announcement of a new entry test. The students of interior Sindh should be given permission to take this test, they demanded.

Sindh University MA, BA exams form submission schedule
Hyderabad: The controller of examinations, University of Sindh has announced the schedule for filing the examination forms by external candidates for BA part-I and MA (previous) for annual examinations 2008.

Candidates who have already got themselves registred in BA part-I and MA (previous) are advised to submit examination forms by August 8, at their degree colleges.

He announced that after the due date, Rs500 would be charged as late fee from Aug 6 to Aug 15, and from Aug 16 late fee of Rs1,000 will be charged.

He announced that the candidates, who had already submitted their registration forms but failed to submit first assignment, are also allowed to appear in the examination, subject to the condition that the result of such candidates will be withheld till the submission of assignment. Dawn
